What is the HDFlyPack?

Who is it best suited for?

Producers and production companies of television and live events (concerts, corporate events, sports, special events) that need multi-camera coverage for live presentation purposes or live-to-tape events.

Why not use a production truck?

Large production trucks certainly have their uses. If your event needs more than 6 cameras, your venue will support a truck (the physical space to park it and run lines from it), and you can afford the day+ of setup time (not to mention the cost of the truck and crew), a production truck might be a better solution.

However, most indoor venues will greatly benefit from being able to bring the control center inside. Setup time is greatly reduced, without sacraficing quality.

Flypacks are certainly not new; what makes the HDFlyPack so special?

"Flypacks" should be more than a lot of gear quickly assembled into lots and lots of luggable cases that all needed to be connected to each other on site. We wanted a turnkey solution that wouldn't be completely disassembled and reassembled at every event. Being able to literally roll in one production case, power up and plug in cameras dramtically reduced setup time (6 cameras can be deployed, setup and tested in about an hour), which enabled increased production values and lowered costs.
